We have been to several birthday parties in the second half of this month! Apparently, September is a popular month in which to be born.
First we had a little get together at Ye Olde Steak House for Elliot’s Aunt Lisa!
Then we went to Elliot’s Cousin Bryce’s birthday party!
Last we went to Elliot’s Aunt Cathy’s birthday party! Elliot’s got to see his Cousins Lily and Charlotte.

Elliot, Marm, and I decided, instead of watching football all day Saturday, we’d do something really fun. We went to Granddaddy’s Farm near Estill Springs, TN.
First we took a hay ride.
We went through the woods and over to a pumpkin patch where we picked our favorite pumpkin, cut it from the vine and carried in back. We put it in a wagon and took it to the car so we could be free to do other fun stuff.
There was a big playground with things to climb on and goats and mazes, etc.
Next we checked out 3 slides. The first slide was a pipe accessed by climbing giant tractor tires filled with sand.
The next slide was an even bigger pipe on the side of a hill. The third and longest slide was open and went down the side of a big hill. The fella at the top said it went real fast if you rode on a burlap bag, so we did that together and it sure was fast. We went off the slide at the end into the grass.
The second time Elliot rode by himself.
So that I could run down and meet him at the bottom, he rode without the burlap bag so he would go slower. He took off fast, but when the hill leveled out Elliot stopped. He tried his best to shimmy his way the rest of the way down the slide, but I ended up pulling him to the end.

After the slides we rode on a giant swing, ran through a hay maze, jumped on big inner tubes, and climbed through a string web.
Last but not least, Elliot jumped in a big bin filled with corn.

It was a great day, but we didn’t get to do everything, so I’m hoping we get to go back soon!
We had fun at our annual Cabin in the Mountains Party last weekend! We arrived at the cabin on Thursday. The cabin was huge! Our room had a king sized bed and a crib! On Friday, Elliot’s cousin Charlotte came up for a visit. They tried out the crib together!
We went for a hike at Metcalf Bottoms. I carried Charlotte and Logan carried Elliot.
We played at the Little Greenbrier School for a bit.
Elliot enjoyed climbing in the window and running through the school over and over again!
We also played “Ring Around the Rosy” and “London Bridges” with Gingy and Grandpa!

Then Elliot helped Tom open his birthday gifts and rode in the dry pack!
We went to Elkmont the next day to hike the Cucumber Gap trail. Jessica carried Elliot!
Later, Elliot, Gingy, and I went swimming.

Grandpa, Gingy, Tom, Elliot, and I went tubing on Sunday but we didn’t get any pictures!
Logan went to the football game and Elliot went to the Foosball Game!
