Elliot got a new shirt today, and now he is a superperson.
BONUS VIDEO!
Elliot’s first snow started falling on Thursday afternoon while mommy was working the evening shift. Logan let the nanny go home early and he and Elliot watched the blizzard. After awhile the power went off, so Logan got the fireplace going. He put Elliot in his pack n’ play for safe keeping and they played a game all evening where Elliot would throw his ball out of the pack n’ play and Logan would throw it back in. Logan also let Elliot watch Baby Einstein videos on his tablet. Elliot was a little confused as to why they were playing downstairs all evening in the dark.
I got home that evening after a slow trek home. I could not get my car to go up the hill, so I parked the car in the cul de sec below our house and climbed through the neighbor’s yard and our backyard to the house… in dress shoes! When I got home, Elliot was still awake. We all put on warm PJs and went to sleep in the family bed. It has been a few weeks since Elliot and I have slept in the same bed and it was funny how worried I was again about squishing him… The power came back on after midnight and Elliot went back to his bed a little bit after that.
The next morning Elliot was curious about all the SNOW!
So we suited him up to go explore.
Our driveway was a sheet of ice.
We could not find a matching pair of his gloves, so we made due. This is about as close and personal as Elliot got with the snow. We’ll save the snow angels for next time.
Logan and Elliot next to mommy’s tracks from the night before!
Our neighbor took our picture together with our crazy hats!
Elliot and me warming up afterwards.
Logan made us a delicious breakfast of applewood bacon and muffins! Elliot ate his favorite cereal and bananas. All in all, a successful first snow day!
Yay! Elliot said “mama”! I was going to feed him yesterday and he said “mama baba.” “Baba” is his word for food so I think he knew what he was talking about!
Logan has also taught him to say the word “good” by combining the sounds he already knew (“goo” and “duh”). It’s cute except he thinks it means “throw” since he says it after he throws a ball.
We had Sarah take some 9 month pictures this weekend! They turned out pretty awesome!
Wow! We could have another baby by now! Thank goodness for breastfeeding (and Mirena)…
We missed making a specific post last month because Elliot’s Month day was the same day as Linzy and Ian’s wedding. Elliot is now taking steps towards walking… ba-dum ching! He is also saying “dada” like he means it. He is in size four shoes and 12 month clothes. I’ve been on night float for the past week and a half, but last night, dada got Elliot to sleep from 9PM to 4AM! He also has had his first nanny, who unfortunately won’t be staying with us for long since she got promoted at another job… Anyone want to nanny for a super cute boy?
