Elliot seems to like the song “It Beats Me Every Time.” Logan played it first for him to be funny, but he cooed, smiled, and danced!
Logan and his cousin Bart made an interesting point about Elliot. Elliot is in the earliest stage of his psychological development where he is only concerned with his needs and instincts and has no concept of others. He is an “id“. If he is hungry at 1am and then 3am and then again at 5am, he doesn’t care if you are tired. He doesn’t care if you are in the middle of a restaurant. He’ll let you know and keep letting you know until you do something about it. If he wants to play first thing in the morning, then we’re playing. He demands immediate satisfaction. Now we can distract him from thinking about eating and try to be accommodating when he has to do something he doesn’t like, like ride in the car seat, but one can only avoid his impulses for so long. Stay tuned for the development of “ego.”
I bought Elliot some clothes today. I got him a robe to match his froggy towel and some swim trunks with a funny matching dinosaur hoodie. I found some socks that fit him (12 month size!) and feature marine life. We visited Gam Gam again at work. She was thrilled! Elliot got to meet Cindy and Jeff this evening when they brought our mattress. He seemed to like them! They stayed for dinner and Logan made his famous Pad Thai. Tom and Gabi were there too.

Elliot and his favorite country artist, Dolly! We don’t know if he likes her music, but he does like her other assets.
