Cabin in the Mountains 2015
We had a great time at the cabin this year! We started the weekend off by celebrating Tom’s birthday with a very impressive sailing themed cake.
Tom showed Elliot his hammock.
We had some Papa Murphy’s Pizza while Winston did some walking.
Elliot had his own air mat bed. Here he is trying it out with Winston.
The next day, the boys tried out Uncle Art’s glasses.
Then we went to the Island in Pigeon Forge and had spaghetti ice cream and did some jumping!
Elliot complained about Winston putting his hand on him in the stroller so Logan told him to just hold his hand. Aren’t they sweet!
Later, Elliot and Uncle Art made a penguin.
Winston turned 4 months old that day. We tried some rice cereal but he wasn’t that in to it. He did like the spoon!
We did a little swimming that evening.
Uncle Art read the boys a book!
The next morning we biked Cades Cove! Turns out that bike wagon is pretty hard to pull (especially with low tire pressure).
Then we went to Tuckaleechee Caverns! Elliot asked for a coin to throw in a wishing well and a nice stranger gave him one. Right after he threw it in his sweet voice he asked, “Does anybody have another coin?”
After that we came home to watch some football!
Mommy and Elliot tried out the hot square.
The next day we ate breakfast at Reagan’s.
We hiked up Clingmans Dome. Here we are getting ready.

Logan and I hurried back down with the boys when it started raining.
All in all, good cabin. We missed a few people this year though. We’ll see you all next year!
Granddaddy’s Farm 2015!
We had a great time at Granddaddy’s Farm this year!
First we got some food. Then we went for a slide!
We jumped on a big bubble and wandered in a corm maze.
Then we played in a big pile of corn!
We got an apple cider slushie and the went on a hay ride!
Elliot got a green pumpkin! It should turn orange before Halloween!
Day Out with Thomas 2015
We’ve been sick this week so I am a little behind on posting. I’ll post about our adventures last weekend and go back and post about Cabin in the Mountains later.
We decided to go see Thomas in Nashville. Here is Gingy and Elliot riding a little train. Thomas in in the background.

Charleston Vacation 2015!
My friend Jessica came by for a visit last week. She and Elliot spent sometime catching up!
Elliot and Winston wore matching bath outfits.
Also, Elliot and Winston got to meet my friend Sarah’s boy Walt and play with Claudie too!
We went up to Knoxville last weekend on our way to Charleston for our vacation. We had a picnic in the mountains.
Uncle Ian and Charlotte caught a fish, which was hilarious!
We went to Dollywood the next day! Here are Charlotte and Elliot in the cars.

After 7.5 hours of driving, we made it to the beach!
We went on a beach picnic that night with our friends the Bourgeois! We forgot the kids swimsuits, but fortunately Davis was kind enough to give us a couple of his!
The next morning we had more fun at the beach!
We went to Page’s Okra Grill for lunch and Logan got a pretty awesome bloody mary.
We went for a walk along Market Street. Here is a picture of a place I ate at the last time I came to Charleston.

We went to Patriot Point and Fort Sumter the next day. Elliot’s favorite part was the ferry ride home.
We got back Friday evening after stretching a 6 hour drive into 9. We went to the camp ground the next day to play with Charlotte!
We went to the Hatfield and McCoy dinner show that evening. Elliot got to get up on stage and dance!
We went to a baby shower for Aunt Linzy and her boys Hank and Ollie on Sunday. Winston had fun meeting lots of people. Elliot only stayed for the food!
Elliot had his first day of school today! Winston has been going for a few hours a day for the past couple of weeks but today Elliot got to go. His reports on the experience were generally favorable. But they did try to make him nap. Not to sure that is going to work for “the boy who does not sleep!”

Winston rolled back to front today! The first time he did it all by himself but he held my hand for the camera.

Yesterday we went to the Nashville Zoo!
Later that evening we went to the Bicentennial Mall.
A train came by on the bridge and everyone was pretty excited!
Also, it turned out the park was hosting the Ink and Iron festival that night and the Misfits happened to be playing. We stayed and listened for a while. Daddy and Winston did some dancing.

Happy 3 months Winston!
You are still a pretty good sleeper. You get a good block of sleep that lasts until about 1am. You sit up well in your bumbo. You rolled front to back. You have moved (changed houses) twice. Crazy! We love you! Night night 🙂
